Giga Car Terminal (GCT)

Giga Car Terminal Sdn Bhd operates a 39.6-acre facility in Westport, Klang for the storage, import, export and trans-shipment of vehicles. The facility manages the loading and unloading of Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessels at Westport.

The Problem

Ageing hardware and software requiring replacement
Other vendors were not able to offer a workable solution due to resource contraints and in 2021, the pandemic lockdown posed further limitations

The Solution
We were able to deliver a viable product with barcode scanning within two weeks to deal with the client's urgent needs, which later evolved to include the following:

- Gate In and Gate Out of vehicles from inventory
- Loading and Discharge of vehicles on and off vessels

- Billing for storage and other services

The Outcome

Hosting on the cloud provided performance many times faster due to the use of state-of-the-art technologies
Use of handphone cameras to scan barcodes meant that devices were always available and easily procured
Many processes were simplified, made more reliable and made a few times faster

RFC Fitness

RFC Fitness is a gym and fitness centre that focuses on making everyone move better, offering a keyless and phone-free environment to help every athlete achieve their goals in a safe and supportive environment.

The Problem

Required a comprehensive, end-to-end gym management system in 2019
Current vendors were from overseas vendors – time zone differences made it difficult to collaborate
Current vendors did not offer customisation (integration with biometrics and gym lockers)
Customer wanted to use biometrics to identify members – more convenient than cards (can get misplaced, impedes freedom of movement)
